Threat prevention

Agentic threat prevention

Let AI connect the threat signals and propose the block, with people approving where it matters.

Agentic threat prevention uses AI to correlate signals across your network, users and endpoints, and to recommend or apply blocking actions. Nexapp keeps a person in the loop wherever your policy requires approval, and records every action for audit.

What it does

Security teams face more alerts than they can read. An IPS hit at a branch, an odd DNS lookup from a laptop and a new outbound connection from a server may be one attack, but they arrive in three different queues. By the time someone links them, the attacker has moved on. Agentic threat prevention does that joining-up work. AI analyses signals from across the platform, works out what they mean together and recommends a response, such as blocking a domain or an address. Your policy decides which actions need a person to approve them.

How it works in Nexapp

01

Signals from the whole platform

Events from IPS, DNS security, SWG, the edge firewall and endpoints are analysed together rather than one queue at a time.

02

Recommended actions

The AI explains what it found and proposes a response, such as blocking a domain, an IP address or an application.

03

Approval where you require it

You decide which actions run automatically and which wait for an authorised analyst. Nothing outside those rules changes on its own.

04

Enforced everywhere at once

An approved block is applied through the one policy engine, so it takes effect for branches, remote users and cloud traffic together.

Where teams use it

Lean security teams in BFSI

An NBFC with a small security team acts on threats outside office hours using AI recommendations, while high-impact actions wait for approval.

Retail chains with many stores

When a malicious domain shows up at one store, the block is proposed for every store and remote user, not only the one that reported it.

Plants and field sites

A manufacturer holds any action that could affect OT networks for a named engineer's approval, while web-side blocks run automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Will the AI change our network without asking?

Only where your policy allows it.

You choose which actions are automatic and which need human approval, and every action is logged.

How does this relate to XDR?

XDR correlates events into incidents for investigation.

Agentic threat prevention adds AI-driven recommendations and, where policy allows, the blocking action itself.

Does it help with CERT-In reporting?

Correlated signals and a recorded history of actions give you evidence sooner, which helps you meet CERT-In's 6-hour incident-reporting obligation.
