Unified management
Platform API
Automate Nexapp and connect it to your SIEM, ITSM and OSS/BSS through a documented REST API.
The Nexapp Platform API lets you automate configuration and pull platform data into your own tools. It is a multi-tenant REST API documented in OpenAPI, with role-based and organisation-scoped access, and it works alongside syslog export to your SIEM.
What it does
Large networks cannot run on clicks alone. Provisioning hundreds of sites, keeping inventory in step with an asset system or raising tickets from alerts all need automation. Closed platforms force manual work or fragile screen-scraping scripts. A platform API opens the system to your own tools. Configuration and data can be read and changed from code, pulled into dashboards and built into workflows, under access controls you set. Your team automates the repetitive work and keeps people for the decisions.
How it works in Nexapp
REST, documented in OpenAPI
The API is described in OpenAPI, so your developers can explore it, generate clients and test calls quickly.
Multi-tenant and scoped
Access is role-based and organisation-scoped, so an integration sees only the tenants and functions it is allowed to.
Events to your tools
Alongside the API, security events can be sent by syslog, webhook or email to your SIEM or other collectors.
Post-quantum management plane
The management plane is protected with post-quantum TLS 1.3 and hybrid ML-KEM key exchange.
Where teams use it
Telco OSS/BSS
A service provider provisions new customer sites from its order system, with each customer in its own tenant.
Service-desk ticketing
An enterprise raises ITSM tickets automatically from platform alerts, so no outage waits for someone to notice it.
Bulk store rollouts
A retail chain opening many stores creates site records and configuration in bulk from its rollout plan through a script.
Frequently asked questions
Is the API documented?
Yes. It is a REST API described in OpenAPI, covering automation and integration with SIEM, ITSM and OSS/BSS systems.
Can MSPs use the API across customers?
Yes. The API is multi-tenant with organisation-scoped access, so a partner's integration can work across the customer tenants it manages.
How do we get logs into our SIEM?
Edges send syslog to a remote collector, and security events can be forwarded by syslog, webhook or email.
